Pavillon Noir

Pavillon Noir in Aix-en-Provence is a dance center built by Rudy Ricciotti for Angelin Prejlocaj. The main issue with this building is that many people don’t understand how to navigate it (show entrance, fire exits, ticket office…). Because of this, we had to think about the Pavillon Noir signage, while also respecting the corporate identity. There were some constraints : we couldn’t touch the building or use the public area, and the budget was relatively small. We designed a pattern using drawings of different dancers. Each character we used was a Prejlocaj movement dancer. I worked with Coralie Barra on this project during my studies at ECV Provence.
